What Happens If You Saved A High School Girl Who Was About To Jump Off? V1: Afterword

Dear readers, nice to meet you. My name is Kisihma Kiraku.

Thank you very much for picking up “What Happens If You Saved A High School Girl Who Was About To Jump Off?”

This novel was originally a video story on the YouTube channel “Manga Angel Neko Oka.” There are many other heart-warming love stories in “Manga Angel Neko Oka, so if you’d like, please take a look.

Well then, there were various things that happened leading up to the release to this book, but with the collaboration of many, it finally became possible.

Everyone who has supported me since the time I was posting on the web, the fans of “Manga Angel Neko Oka.”

To Sneaker Bunko-sama who has published this book, Minagawa Natsuki-san, the editor who listened carefully to Kishima’s Insistence, Mikawa Ghost-sensei and all the staffs “Manga Angel Nekooka” for the generous cooperation.

To the god-like illustrator Ratan-san, who always draws the cutest Hatsushiro in the manga videos, and Kuro Namako-san, who drew the beautiful cover and responded to numerous retakes with refined craftsmanship.

To the mentor who led me to my debut. To everyone from “Kishiba Kiraku Creation Club,” who always listened to my concerns, complaints, and bragging.

To grandma who secretly gave me 100.000 yen, when I overcame my parents’ strong opposition, boasted “I’m going to become a novelist!!,” quit my job, and moved to Tokyo.

To Neko Oka-san, who gave me the most interesting opportunity to make my work this way.

And then, to the best protagonist, Yuuki Yuusuke, and the best heroine, Hatsushiro Kotori, who, one day, suddenly appeared before Kishima, who had been thinking, “Aah, I wonder how I should write a romantic comedy.”

To every, every, everyone, thank you very much!!

Thanks to all the support, I was able to achieve my big goal as a writer, which was to publish a work about “warmth and happiness.”

I hope to continue to return the favor with the best stories I can write. I sincerely appreciate it if you could be kind enough to stick with me.

TL notes:

With this, it’ll be a total of four books/novels that I’ve translated. I feel like it’s the nice time to make a rating/poll about the TL readability, quality, and stuffs. Some of you who was reading the stuffs here ever since RoshiDere might’ve noticed it. But the TL of Roshidere I did was beyond awful. I don’t even want to read my own TL, so I salute any of you who actually read it. But now I feel like I’ve improved after TLing 4 novels so I’m going to make a poll!! The poll will be under this afterword, so I don’t know how many who will actually see it, since I believe not many will go and read afterword of a novel. I’ll keep the poll up until this Sunday 11:59 PM GMT+2

    1. The answer to that is easy. I’m a sucker for early romance. I’ve read the vol 2 synopsis and it doesn’t go as what I wanted, I’d say. However, there are few people who’ve reached out to me that they’re interested in taking over roshidere starting vol 2, so you won’t have to worry it won’t get translated.

      1. Nah, it’s just about how the vol 2 will be about student council president election. And no indication of romance. Maybe vol 3 could finally be about romance, but I doubt it. This kind of novel feels like it’d need vol 5+ until there’ll finally be romance, which is not my cup of tea, sadly.

      2. So it looks like the romance will be put on the back burner. I completely understand why you decided against continuing translating it. Looking forward to reading more of your work.

  1. Thank you for translating, I have no complaints about your translations at all.

Hope you would translate the second volume too when it releases in September

  2. Thx for the translation.
I don’t feel something’s off with your translation and honestly enjoyed the great translation.

  3. There are a few grammar mistakes here and there (minor missing words, from what I’ve seen), but other than that your translation quality is definitely one of the best compared to a lot of other translations. They’re great. Keep up the good work.

P.S. If I’m not mistaken, volume two (translated) should be rolling around sometime in September? Or would it be earlier? It’d be nice to get a grasp on things so I don’t forget!
